Handmade Valentine Cards Using Your Own Creative Photography!

There is the option of going to the store and buying a box of commercial valentines for your child to give at school and to friends. But it is also a lot of fun to make and receive valentine cards that have been handmade.
The problem is that it is a lot of work and time consuming to make and sign a class set of cards. But the good news is that there is a very easy way and quick way to make unique and great looking valentine cards.
I used my iPhone to photograph these Valentine Conversation Heart candies.
I spread the candies out in a random fashion. Then I took a photograph from a top-down perspective.

The next thing I did was use the photo-editing app Snapseed to edit the photograph. There is more good news with this project. Both adults and children can take and edit their own photographs because the cameras and photo editing apps on digital devices are so easy to work with. Even really young children with adult guidance can have fun working with a camera and staging their own photographs.
The next step is to print the photograph using a colour printer onto plain white printer paper.
Then cut each image in half and glue onto purchased blank cards or your own blank cards made out of quality card stock.
Here are some other types of photographs that you can create as well. I just purchased the acrylic and felt hearts at the dollar store! The creative possibilities are endless!

I invite you to check out the blog for more details and step-by-step instructions showing how to make these handmade valentine cards using your own creative photography!
