Painting A Pepper Grinder With a Mackenzie Child Feel

by Paula Driesell
You can paint almost anything these days. You just need a little imagination.
My friend bought this lime green pepper corn grinder and asked me to paint it for her. It was big....and ugly. :) But she knew it was the right shape for what she had in mind.
Since this was painted and glossy, I went ahead and gave it a good sanding and then primed it so my paint would have good adhesion to it.
I painted it black first.....
Then added some details.
I finished this was a faux finish to add depth and detail.
It came out so pretty that I want to find one just like this. Do you have something in your house that just isn't working? Go ahead and paint it.

What kind of paint are you using? And what do you use to seal it when done? Thank you in advance. I want to give this a try
