Our 2012 Christmas Tree

I spent $40 on a thrift store Christmas tree and spent a total of $15 creating and repurposing ornaments. I used everything from pine cones, spray paint, glitter, vase filler, mirrors, crystal chandelier parts, plants stems, and glass rocks to create our tree this year. And I topped it all off using a big white bow as a tree topper! It took me 5 days to complete, but I absolutely adore it!

I kept the color scheme simple, using only gold, silver, white, beige, and a few pops of greenery.

I added some fun greenery to the tree. I also used silver rub and buff on some brassy ornaments to modernize them.

I love the tree and your enthusiasm. I was young once and did things like that. Now I have a short, pre lit and decorated one that I bring up from the basement and just plug it in. I love the decorating, but hate to put it all back up. More power to you. :-)
