Your couch and chair are the pieces of furniture I have been looking for on the internet . ...»
They have to wait until our newly purchased house is mended. My hunny has his so called " man cave" and his mother's couch does not do for me. We live so far out in the country it is hard to find fine things. Thank you for showing us your creativity!

My new building and back yard.

We had this cellar and shed built into our hillside in the back yard. Big plans for shade garden on one side, and full sun on the other. What to plant? I'm overwhelmed.

My pictures are of my Beaded Gourds

I cover the entire gourd with beeswax the build up certain areas with the wax then sculpt it into the figures that I will be creating. I then Bead the entire gourd or sometimes ostrich ...»
shells from bottom to top with 13/0 beads. These beads are picked up with a pin and then pushed into the wax one bead at a time.

The African Rose took me 2 1/2 years to complete.

Farmhouse kitchen updates

Just wanted to add some updated kitchen photos. We're using two old vintage school desks as a temporary island (too short/improper storage for permanent solution). I added a DIY 'farmer's ...»
market sign' and painted a dresser {microwave cart/BBQ and smoking tool storage near the patio doors}. #MyKitchen #ProudestDIY

Gardening: Orchid that went through winter in Florida

I love this orchid. The ONLY one I don't bring into the house in winter. I covered it with a sheet & it lived. I have two of these and both lived. The other Orchids were brought inside when the temp was below 50. Then taken outside when it warmed. A lot of work.

  • have house on 1/2 acre......front yard grass died so I created low moisture garden with connecting paths using bromeliads, agaves, and other tropical plants---half property is lawn but front and 1 side are tropical garden --put house up for sale for $258,000 and not sure about leaving garden intact---is it overwhelming? does the garden make it unsaleable? 4

I think ;you have done a great job and I think it looks a little bare. I would continue with ...»
your idea but possibly make a sharper edge around the bromeliads add pebbles outlining the path and maybe add a stone figure . I just moved from an apt in Orlando where I worked as an interior plant designer and could not garden (25 years) now have large area to garden to my hearts content. in West Virginia. Good luck enjoy your new home.
