About Me:

I have done many projects over 30 years of home ownership related to plumbing, painting, electrical, gardening, yard maintenance, applicance repair and replacement, carpet replacement and many more. Also repaired many bikes. I also worked at Home Depot Expo Design Center in Lighting/Electrical, wired lights, hung ceiling fans and many more related projects. Also helped designers choose selections and lighting effects. Worked as asistant Blg Mgr at Ft McPherson. We rennovated a 110 yr old hospital into office space.

Favorite area of home improvement:

I always enjoy working outdoors in the yard. But there's great satisfaction in any home improvement project done well.

I have a couple of old bicycles that I would like to dispose of.

Is there a charitable agency or individual or repair shop in Raleigh area that takes such bikes?

If they have little rust, the wheels do not wobble from bad bearings, the tires are OK and ...»
will shift, then some old bikes are in demand. I have had luck selling them as "Classics" on Craigslist. Cobwebs, dust and flat tires (most go flat after a while) do not necessarily make it a "bad" bike. It's also a good/fun project to restore these bikes, plenty of info on UTube. Also, Craigslist has a "free" section".
