Faux Card Catalogue/Apothecary Cabinet

In the early '80's my husband took the insides out of an old TV. He added a shelf and made doors that he covered in mac tac.
We haven't used it for many years, but never seem to throw anything away.
I painted the inside black, and the outside red, I then antiqued it with ebony stain.
I cut little rectangles of wood and painted and antiqued each one, and nailed them on.
It was a bit of a pain getting them all lined up.
I nailed on the hardware to make it look like a card catalgoue.
I added magnetic hardware so that you can push on the doors and they will pop open.
I love the results, hope you do too!

Hi I stumbled on this beautiful project (2 years later). What brand of paint and stain did you use. And the names of the colors? Thanks much Lisa

That is one fabulous, classy makeover! Love the apothecary look. I really didn't think the end result was going to look this great - well done!
