Design & Décor Flooring Living & Dining Room

Refinishing floors, Living Room,

Finally tackled the ordeal of pulling up the carpet in my living room to reveal decent floors. A light sanding the polyeurathane brought it back to life. I re-arranged the furniture and a wonderful new look that i love. Again its Viva-La Vintage with me.

My eclectic take on the living room. Tried my luck at making curtain panels and found the right fabric

Looks great - and glad it wasn't too much trouble. I can never figure out why people covered up these great hardwood floors with carpet in the first place.

Beautiful job Jamala. I'm not a wall to wall carpet lover either.

Hardwood floors are great! Yours looks fabulous! In our former home we too pulled up all the carpeting on the main floor and refinished the oak hardwood ourselves. It looked gorgeous when we were done and I miss them...our current home has two of the bedrooms with exposed hardwood. We know the hallway and our master bedroom also have hardwood and will some day remove the carpeting too. What I'm really curious about is whether or not we have hardwood in the living room...Someday we're going ...»
to check that out ;-) We've just been here a little less than a year.

Thank youu, it was a wonderful surprise seeing the floors werent too bad. I have two areas where they glued carpet down and laid another layer on top of the glued carept (what a mess it was) we are working on that area and its coming along nicely. will post pics of that room shortly
