White formica kitchen cabinets

I have white formica flat door cabinets, cira 1980's in my kitchen. Would love to change the color. Has anyone had good luck painting over formica? Thanks.

Yes, they can be painted. I have painted my Formica counter tops with this http://www.gianigranite.com/ There are also other paints for cabinets that will work. Type "Formica cabinets" or "laminate cabinets" in the search box. You will see be descriptions of several projects sure to inspire you. Good luck. Share your pictures.

Yes. They make spray paint for plastic and it works great on formica
