Harriet on Feb 08, 2015I'd like a simple mantle and hearth in proportion to a 65" flatscreen already hanging on the wall. Materials should be wood and molding an texture only. Something similar to this attached photo. I'm wanting cabinets on the bottom and shelves on the top to each side. Thanks so much!!Helpful Reply

C on Feb 08, 2015Although it is common to see and it looks nice, tv screens placed above hearths are actually hard on the neck because you have to look up to view them all the time. They are meant to be view at eye level which is usually around 3-4 feet from floor (also gives clearest picture from that level). But people don't always have extra space for a large tv elsewhere. Just mentioning in case you have a choice. I have seen comments from people who have tv's over fpl and they find the fire distracting when both are on.Helpful Reply
