A Floppy Valentine

Easy
Some of you might remember that by the end of the 1980s, the 5¼-inch disks had been superseded by the 3½-inch disks for computers. By the mid-1990s, the 5¼-inch drives had virtually disappeared, as the 3½-inch disk became the predominant floppy disk. The advantages of the 3½-inch disk were its smaller size and its plastic case, which provided better protection from dirt and other environmental risks. Most have gotten rid of these disks, but not my daughter. She decided to let her students make valentine's out of them.
If you have any of these disks, you can open them up by running a utility knife around the edges. An adult should do this. You can down load images from Pinterest or make your own designs.
Using glue, adhere the image to the front of the floppy and one on the back.
You can use the holes at the top for the ribbon or you can use pipe cleaners. Once you have done this, the two halves will stand.
The kids could even paint them if they wanted, but I like them natural. Great way to use up old floppy disk if you have them.
