Junkie Love Sign

Easy
Using a scrap piece of wood and found junk, I made a rustic love sign.
The wood was a piece of an old shelf we had in the garage. I wanted it to look like older wood so first it was stained then painted.
I painted one layer of white, then sanded the whole piece. Then a layer of pink paint was added. When it dried I sanded the whole piece again. The end result is a layered distressed look.
For the lettering I just looked around for things to create LOVE. A old carpenter square for the L, a thrift store tin for the O, pieces of a drawer pull for the V, and scrap metal for the E.
I also used another piece of scrap wood to stencil a Love Bird sign.
