Home Office Makeover

Last summer I finally started a big journey - purging the junk and finally taking steps to make my 1960s home more of a reflection of my personal style. I started in the home office. It was initially covered in wallpaper on one wall which I removed and painted. Then I redecorated with other items in my home. I hope you enjoy!
The Home Office Makeover Reveal.
When I moved into my home, one of the first things I did in this space was to lay vinyl tiles on the floor, paint, and put up one wall of wallpaper. Later, I regretted the wallpaper but didn't have a specific vision for the space. As my tastes have become more refined, I can honestly say that I am glad that I waited to redo the space because now it is representative of my current style.
The office space after it was decluttered. The large computer workstation desk was worn down. I ended up taking it down and getting rid of it. In it's place I decided on an IKEA laminate table.
Removing the wallpaper. After this second go-round of removing wallpaper in my home, I can honestly say that I don't believe I'll be utilizing anymore wallpaper. It's beautiful but such a pain to remove.

Finding the perfect paint color was the beginning to a whole new look. When I saw this paint, it was love at first sight!
This space took 2 coats of paint.
The view from the doorway of my newly renovated home office space. I love this space so much now! Most items used to decorate were gifted, thrifted, or bought on a serious budget.
For example, this chair was purchased at the Habitat Restore for $15. I spray painted it white (although it was originally a white chair) and I reupholstered the seat with an upholstery sample purchased at a thrift store for $0.10.
One of the final views of my new home office space.
