Painted Ombre Hearts Valentine Wreath (Take Two!)

Have you ever had a finished project stood back and said "hmmmmm meh?" The wreath I made a couple of seasons ago was exactly that, I liked the basic idea of it, but knew it just needed more. Soooooo, this year I worked on trying to make it where I could say "hmmmmm yeah!"
I stared off with scrapbook paper hearts Mod-Podged to the hearts, and outlined with a paint pen. I also outlined the inner hearts with the same size template used for the paper. I liked the original Scrabble tiles, but felt they were undersized, so two scraps of ribbon providing a backdrop behind them seems to boost their presence on the wreath.
There was so much 'blank space' between the wreath and the tray, so I found a leftover hearts garland, and tied various ribbons around it.Then hot glued it all to between the outside of the wreath and the edge of the tray. Much better with that added filler!
Here's the original wreath, not bad, but not "yeah!" I'm definitely happy with the upgrade.
