Smooth Sailing Family Room Makeover

A paint color I hated and carpet that needed cleaned was my motivation to finally get this makeover done! Five years ago we were rushed moving in and had no time for renovations. Five years and 15 steam cleaning treatments for cream colored carpet and I had enough. The makeover finally began.
This is a before photo showing the old paint color. It makes the room look like it is trapped in a brown paper bag. It did nothing to compliment the oak trim. The carpet had already been ripped out before I remembered to take a photo. Here the boxes of prefinished Bruce Hardwood are aclimating for two weeks before my husband installs them.
The new paint color and floors compliment this space so well. The trim now stands out and the new wood floors never need a steam clean!! Come on over to my blog Mustlovehome to see more photos and get the details!
