One of my favorite looks right now is the washed look of salvaged and aged wood. I've been able to use liming wax to create a whitewashed look on a couple of re-purposed frames. Liming wax is easy to use (with some elbow grease) and creates a soft washed look to wood.

  • Vintage wood frame repurposed into a chalkboard.
  • Close up of liming wax applied to a stained wood frame.
