Our Multi-Purpose Dining Room: Dining Room and Play Room in One!

After more than 6 years of parenting, I've resigned myself to the fact that toys will be all over my house, for at least a few more years. The truth is, I don't really mind. I WANT my boys to play, and if that means we store toys in the dining room, so be it.
Now, we have a playroom (I posted about that on here recently) but a couple of years ago, we had to make do the best we could with the space we had. And so, our dining room doubled as a playroom.

This wall shows the bookshelves that held some of the toys.
And along the bay window was a coffee table that doubled as a play table, with DIY toy storage baskets made from fabric, hot glue, and diaper boxes underneath.
When I originally posted these pictures on my blog - everyone commented on the front door shown on the left. The photo is cut off here for some reason, but you can see the original 100+ year old door on my blog.
