A large amount of strong adhesive was spilled on my carpet and was hard and well dried when I discovered it. Do you have any ideas on how to remove it, please. Its about 8" x8" and looks very very unsightly. Help please.

You could try to trim it off, but you might have to cut out a square and patch it with a piece from inside a closet, if you don't have an extra piece.

I think it will depend on the type of adhesive. Some might soften with a steamer or by letting a wet towel sit for a long time. You could also try De-solv-it, which I have found at Walmart.

I would try goo-gone. Let it soak for a while and if it leaves a spot then steam it out.
