How to make old brick look new

The brick on my fireplace looks so dull and old, how do I make it look new again?

    I saw this on a T.V. show one time. you have to get the dye for whatever color your bricks are. It should work.

    Have a red brick house. Some of the bricks were a dif colour where there had been some type of structure. I just used some deck stain so they would match. Has held up.

    Try washing it with vinegar and baking soda. Then seal the brick again. I saw this tip on a Rehab Addict show. Worked great!

    Try cleaning it with Trisodium Phosphate. It can be used as a masonry cleaner and is very inexpensive. You should be able to get it at any home improvement store. Be sure to follow the directions on the package and also put down tarps or plastic to protect the area around the fireplace. If it still looks grungy, you may have to try muriatic acid.
