DIY Wooden Crates

One shelf in our pantry is devoted to supplies for our dog. The unorganization of this shelf was driving me nuts, so my husband and I designed and built three wooden crates to corral and organize our dog's supplies. Chalkboard labels added to the front make it easy to know where to find what we need when it's time to take care of our dog.
Handles on the boxes make them easy to carry.
Felt pads on the bottom of each crate make them easy to slide off the shelf.
This side view shows that the box is more narrow than a normal crate. We built it to be the exact size of our pantry's shelves.
This before and after picture shows how much better our dog's shelf in the pantry looks now. It's so nice to find what we need for our dog rather than having to dig through everything on the shelf.
