Fake brick removal

Our kitchen backsplash has those fake bricks. Any suggestion on how to remove them?

It would be the same as tile, which sometimes can be frustrating and make holes in the sheet rock or whatever is behind it. We had black granite 12x12 inch tiles removed from our kitchen counters and back splash and even the pros tore holes in the sheet rock.
