horse head board

Question

Could you please send an e-mail of the directions on just how to build a horse head board for my queen-size bed? My son would love to build that for me...He is a cross country truck driver, but when he get time off, he loves to get over to his tool shop and build! I am a single Mom with his two sisters, so he doesn't get to much 'man-cave' time here either, the girls or myself have him doing one thing or another...I would so much appreciate this!! everything that I have seen that you do I love....I absolutely love.....everything is natural and beautiful and I love that....your a perfect artist....and your work is lovely....thank you very much Denise Maloney at djst4@aol.com

A lot of those 'decorative' head boards are made to mount to the wall so they are free of contact with the bed itself. With that type of design they are much easier to build.

Beds that have a headboard that is connected the beds rails are much different. The bed rails need to be secure to prevent racking. In many cases they are set up with a pair of locking hooks that 'pull' the head board inward.
