I'm sorry if I've already asked this question-I'm a stroke survivor and unfortunately my memory didn't survive. Is there an easy and affordable way to make a slipcover for a sofa? Its pretty large-its a queen sleep sofa, just plain ugly!

surefit.com is a very inexpensive slip cover company. They will mail you a catalog for free! ..... That's the EASIEST way I know of...... The CHEAPEST way would be Walmart or heavy canvas drop clothes in the paint dept of Home Depot...... You will need upholstery screws (clear round plastic tops with scrolled wire underneath) to tack down the drop cloth thru the drop cloth cover and existing sofa cover.....tack down in inconspicuous areas.... Hope this helps you :-)

Walmart, by the way, has inexpensive slip cover throws...... you may be able to find the upholstery screws there also..... If not, try a craft store

The other option is too look at "pet covers" for your sofa. These are not as fitted but they cover nicely. They are also not as expensive. I purchased mine at Tuesday Morning store for $30. They stay in place great.

take a tape measure and start at he back of the sofa, end on the floor, run it up over the back. tuck it a few inches into the back and seat cushions, continue across seat, and to floor. note the measurement. take the tape measure and put the end on the floor by an arm of the sofa. run the tape measure up over the arm, tuck it a few inches into the space between the arm and sofa cushion carry it over to the other arm, tuck in a few inches between arm and cushion, take the tape over the arm and to the floor. note the measurement.. google measurements of flat sheets or fleece blankets for beds. find the size that best matches the measurement you took. you may need 2 sheets if you want the back fully covered. my sofa has it's back to a wall so i use one blanket labeled full/queen, and the arms are not covered.
