Hosting a Cookie Swap Party

Every year, a few of my friends and I get together for a cookie swap. It is a fun and low stress way to welcome the holiday festivities. We keep things really simple. There are four of us, so we each make four dozen cookies plus a few extra for tasting. We take turns hosting the party and the host provides a simple meal with the extra cookies as dessert. I kept the centerpice simple and whimsical by placing a candy tree, chocolate snowman and marshmallows under my Wayfair.com cloche for a winter wonderland look. Everyone went home with a Hometalk mug filled with goodies. We always have lots of laughs that carry us through the holidays.
We bring a dozen cookies for each person to take home.
I served a simple meal of quiche and salad with cookies for dessert.
For a whimsical wonderland centerpiece I place a candy covered tree and chocolate snowman along with marshmallows and candy under my Wayfair cloche,
I set up a beverage basket filled with teas and hot cocoa and placed mugs nearby for easy access.
I sent each guest home with a little rememberance of the fun we had - a Hometalk mug with hot cocoa, truffles and peppermint stick.
