Kitchen Redo With Painted Cabinets

by Diane Prostko
Oak floors and oak cabs made for too much oak in this tiny house. We filled the wood with sparkling and used Behr paint with primer. It cleans up easily and is streak free.
Always a critic. Yes, I wii be sure to paint the corner. We sanded and repainted and did new hardware and backsplash and granite.
Okay, so move already!
Done! Not really, will have to do a microwave over stove. We were going to put a micro drawer in island, but may not. We did put double slide garbage cans under there.

Thanks for the nice comments. As to whether the wood grain shows,it does not. We followed someone's web directions and scrubbed and sanded and used sparkling in a very light coat, and sanded again. it is a tough, messy and time consuming job. The reason I did not the grain to show was that my husband is a mechanic and I did not want dirt to get into the grain. The doors did not previously have glass. I took them somewhere and had them cut and glass put in. Much cheaper to do all this and keep my solid well built cabinets than to buy new.
