I found this little desk at my fave store, goodwill. It was in bad shape. We ended up sanding off the veneer on the top. I made some chalk paint from Glidden charcoal and painted the
drawer pulls with silver metallic spray paint. Its my first furniture project. There were small rips in the old veneer on the side, so I glued it with wood glue and used wood putty then sanded it. Its staying together very well. I still need to wax it.

We have that same desk, passed down through the family. It's from the 20's ! Great find and
We do our best to make home improvements on a budget. Sprucing up the kitchen was on our list, but adding a tile backsplash was not within our reach. I give you our vinyl decal
backsplash! It took 3 hours to put up, and it tricks many people, even trained professionals! It's affordable, durable and good looking! Check out my blog post for decal source, instructions and some more amazing photos!
