Home Maintenance & Repairs: WD-40 or Gulf Wax for use on Plumbing....?

If I use W-D 40 spray on a plumbing fixture to loosen up the action on a pull-out shower valve, could the oil have an adverse reaction with any of the plumbing glues or putties used in ...»
the valve? Would it be safer to try parafin wax instead?

Home Maintenance & Repairs: Should you use a patch 'kit' to patch sheetrock or can you just use a small piece of sheetrock with tape and mud?

The whole is about 4 x 6.

    slightly longer to fit up in and over 2 sides ,,,screw in ,, tape and mud ,,,what that `s called is a,,, HOT PATCH,,,,,and can be done by leaving about an inch of paper but cutting away the sheetrock chalky away,,,if their is no way of putting a piece to attach ,,also PL200 ,, glue in a caulk gun ,,ONLY TO GLUE ON BACKSIDE ,IF DEADWOOD APPLICATION APPLIES then run screw &&&glue keeps the joints from showing and cracking ,,,,,especially if you`re not a professional drywall installer,,an finisher
