Old stove removed, shelves added

Bad stain job

I was asked by a contractor to fix this issue so the punch list was finished off.

The stain failed that was applied by the finishers. ...»

I was not able to grind down or use any large amounts of water. in this cast a good scuff down with sander and wiped with alcohol and microfiber sweeper was used.

I applied H & C concrete stain. in 3 colors to give it a brown stone faux finish.

In home medical oxygen use

Tip sheet for medical oxygen

The use of portable medical oxygen in the home has grown over the past decade. Oxygen saturates fabric covered furniture, clothing, hair, and bedding, making it easier for a fire to start and spread. Homes where medical oxygen is used need specific fire safety rules to keep people safe from fire and burns.

I did not realize that oxygen can accumulate this way-scary. The warning signs are also an ...»
excellent suggestion-why do the companies supplying the oxygen not include them in the price of delivery to be sure they are displayed.

  • Old door way
  • New doorway and thresh hold to cover the 11" off set the re modeler made when they framed out the wall.

Door change out and steps added.

This is a door that leads to the older part of the home. The contractors did a nice job on the home remodel but stopped short at making the older part of the basement easily excessable. ...»
The frame work was built to fit a 36" door but they must have only had a 32" to place there. Now if the need comes to replace the Central air system it will fit with out removing the door. As well the room now can be use to store larger furniture and items.

Review of Ryobi level.

Worked well in basement re level project.

1st. I did a two peg test at 50 foot each way. Tolerance is 3/32 or less. ...»

Next a level loop around the basement to bench mark all rooms tie into original mark was perfect.

It works great! It is self leveling and will give lines in horizontal, vertical and both at once. It can give a horizontal 320 degree lay out.

There ya go! 1/16 @ 100' is great accuracy!. That is at least 300% better than 3/32 at 50'
