Company Overview

I have been in construction of some type for 25 years. I first started out in the 1980s as a Carpenter helper, Later I work as surveyor and welder. Then as most young men the road called me. And I used my skills combined to get work as a Mill Wright "Traveling jack of all trades" After trips to the great lakes, Gulf coast of Texas And all sorts of plants in between. I picked up a large set of skills. When I returned to Atlanta in 1991 I worked as Field Engineer for The CONLAN CO. And started a career in Concrete ... See More tilt up buildings. I really enjoyed working in such large scale. I made it to post of Traveling Superintended and did work around the south east. but travel was just not for me. In 2004 I started Hudson Designs, I like what I do, It's little harder working for yourself but I can learn even more things to. As of the past few months some of my 3 D Historical model work has become notice Thanks to a Russian Group I do beta testing for. And Networx has drawn me a few new clients too!! Staircase help!

In need of help! What do I do with this bizarre staircase enclosure? When we moved in three years go, this was what was used as an alternative to spindles and a bannister evidently. It is not weight-bearing, but we need to do something as we had twin boys this past April, and they are already on the move! As I'm sure you can guess, our budget is tiny, really non-existent actually, so anyway we can do this inexpensively would be great. I would rather not board it up as there is a great ...»

1st thing to think of is safety and that the job meets code req. for your area.

Most important issue is that it meets life safety code for insurance coverage.

1013.3 Opening limitations. Open guards shall have balusters

orornamental patterns such that a 4-inch-diameter (102 mm)

sphere cannot pass through any opening up to a height of 34

inches (864 mm). From a height of 34 inches (864 mm) to 42

inches (1067 mm) above the adjacent walking surfaces, a

sphere 8 inches (203 mm) in diameter shall not pass.

To find out more about your local codes see this page.

In home medical oxygen use

Tip sheet for medical oxygen

The use of portable medical oxygen in the home has grown over the past decade. Oxygen saturates fabric covered furniture, clothing, hair, and bedding, making it easier for a fire to start and spread. Homes where medical oxygen is used need specific fire safety rules to keep people safe from fire and burns.
