What size art should I be looking at for a 94" wall. It would replace the round metal piece.Should it be landscape, vertical or square???

If it were for me, which I know it's not, I would go for a big mirror to reflect any light back into the room. Otherwise I would choose one large square piece that has either a lot of white in it or lots of light tones. The last suggestion would be don't go with a gallery wall of small pieces to fill the space. That's just my opinion and you will get lots of great opinions to choose from. Have fun.

You can always cut out pieces of paper or cardboard to try different sizes and orientations.

I would shop for one (large) landscape-oriented piece of art or a grouping to spread out landscape. I have a wall in my breakfast room that is 96 inches wide, which is only 2 inches wider than your wall. On my wall, I have a grouping that covers 50 inches (wide) by 38 inches (high) and in my opinion, it could even be bigger if I so desired. I know the art print you liked so much from Kirkland's was 54 x 30 which is 8 inches smaller (height-wise) and only 4 inches wider than my grouping. ( I think you can see by my photo, I would have plenty of room to expand 4 more inches on my wall!) I am going to encourage you (again!) to get that Kirkland's picture and TRY it. I know it sounds humongous but I really do not think it is going to be too big for your wall.

Are you sick of me yet? lol Just trying to convince you that large pieces of art are more attractive and pack more punch than itty bitty dinky ones. Here's another photo of a wall in my family room that is 73 inches wide. This framed piece of art measures 39 x 29 (which is more than half the width of the wall). Too big? Not to my eyes.

Shari I am not sick of you! I appreciate your comments and advice. Makes me think outside of the box which is a good thing! I guess maybe the reason I think the pic would be too big is because the are is so enclosed where yours may be the same size wall with about the same size art but not enclosed. Anyway what do you think of these?

@Mary I vote for the first one as well. I would recommend that you also paint that wall with a great contrasting color! That way, it draws the eye to the wall and the art hanging on it.

I agree with Lori I would use a large mirror perhaps with a pair of sconces (can be for candles rather than electric) on each side. I would also pull some of that beautiful blue green color from your sun room into the space to brighten it up...seems quite dark in the dinning room. Perhaps consider painting at least the back wall with the same blue green color in the sun room and use some accessories in the same blue green color.

Could always try a large piece then add sconces to either side of the painting.

I like both of the pieces you chose. However I like the one on the right best. To me it appears to have more colors than the "green/yellow" one on the left. (green is my favorite home décor color too). Also the multiple trees keep your eyes moving. The one on the left just draws you in and visually you would stop looking at the back wall, (if placed where you intend.) I think a mirror is a good choice, but I would place it on the wall opposite the sliding doors. This would be the best placement to bring in more light from the outside. It would also be nice to find a painting that had some of the green/blue color of the carpeting from your sunroom, to help the two rooms flow. I'll quit rambling now. I hope I helped and didn't add to the confusion. Good luck.

A large mirror would help reflect light as your furnishings and wall colours are relatively dark. If you go for a piece of art, then I would do something with a horizontal, rather than a vertical view, to expand the width of the room.

I think it has to be placed vertical. The wall border already draws attention to the horizontal. I think an oversized (36 to 40 wide by 40 to 60 long) photo of something simple like a piece of fruit or if you have kids blow up a large picture at Kinko's in black and white and put it on the wall with trim around it. I am not a fan of the mirror since I don't like to sit at a table and "see" myself while visiting with people. You have similar items on all 3 walls so this back wall should be a bright/light draw. I even like the idea of a fabric stretched over a frame.

Love the picture on the right! The birch trees look so ethereal. But you could use both and alternate them with the change of seasons. I also vote for a mirror on the left wall to reflect light from the door into the room. Maybe a whole wall of different types and styles. One of the shows I watch on HGTV did a wall like that and it looked spectacular!
