4 Occasional Table Hacks

Sometimes you just have to improvise which is exactly what I did the other night when I needed to create enough occasional tables for every guest to have a place to set their drinks...out of thin air.
Here's what I came up with.
I turned this vintage crate on its side and placed it next to the sofa. Simply put a platter or tray on top to hold drinks and snacks. (The crate also works well as a magazine rack...providing a little color and coziness to the living room.)
I pulled this bar stool up next to the chair. It did double duty as seating and a table.
This small step stool was the perfect partner for the slipper chair.
And, a tray on top of the ottoman made the perfect cocktail table.

Using things I already had, I was able to create enough tables for my guests to set their drinks. That made this hostess very happy.
