Of course! you can do whatever you like. :-) In all seriousness, I learned a long time ago to remodel to what I love and not what is trendy or what others like.

You can do anything you want, it's your home. 😊 My advice would be to do what you want and live with it a while. You can always paint the trim if you decide you don't like the two-toned look.
  • Cabinets can have more than one color. If you want your kitchen to look bright, adding painted cabinets with a few colors on each will add more spice.
  • I did this last summer, my husband handmade the oak trim for my counter tops and backsplash and other things in the kitchen..I painted all my cabinets a beautiful pale daffodil..have had so many nice compliments on it..of course I love it that is what matters most, cause that's where I spend most of my time..so refreshing!

Yes! I did this to the deep panels that surround the windows in my 19th stone farmhouse. A light colour paint will maximize light reflected, and the wood trim gives a sophisticated detail to the panels.
