Replacing kitchen cabinets - what about window and door frames?

We'd like to replace (or stain) our golden oak kitchen cabinets to a darker color. But if we do this, the golden oak laminate framing around our windows, and doors will look odd. Any ideas?

If you can't replace it I would probably paint it white or cream.

@@Barb Belcher Hello. If I were tackling this project, I would paint the trim the same color as the baseboards. Do you have any of the baseboard paint left over? ) Perhaps it is time to change out the trim after you finish the cabinets? So much easier to paint before installation. Are your doors honey oak, too? There are many ways to up day your doors without replacing them. So many projects! Good luck.

You have to change this. you can paint the doors and window frames and baseboard the same color as your wall but in a eggshell finish, or paint it the same color as your kitchen cabinet.
