The Land of Nod Boy's Bedroom for Less

My son really wanted a "space" themed bedroom, and The Land of Nod had some really cool space bedding and accessories. Only problem was that the price tags were way too high for my budget.
Below is a picture of his room prior to decorating.
In order to make it work within my budget I came up with a strategy. First, I saved on the big ticket items by buying them at Target.
I even got some brand new (Target) canvas wall art at Goodwill.
And with the money I saved I went ahead and splurged on some of the real deal Land of Nod accessories like pillows, pillow shams and retro space wall art.
Gotta love this retro Captain Rex Tybee Lunar Landing Pod wall art.
Another big ticket item I saved on big time were the honeycomb shelves you see displayed prominently throughout the entire The Land of Nod's catalog. We found them on Amazon for a fraction of the price. They fit perfectly on the wall next to my son's bed, and he LOVED them!
On the blog you'll find some other ways I saved money on this awesome room redo as well as my personal tried and true tips for redecorating ANY room on a budget.
