Add a Metal Top to an Old Table

We had this boring, cheap, not-solid-wood, console table in our entry that needed some serious pizzazz. It got a coat of gray/navy chalk paint and then topped with sheets of aluminum to give it a shiny, unique and durable top.
The before. A plain, medium-stained console table that we had had for years. We got it on clearance for maybe $40 and the top had some minor scratches from using it as a TV stand.
A fresh coat of paint and a few pieces of metal later we have a brand new look for the space and what feels like a brand new, custom, piece of furniture! Find the full supply list, tutorial, and more pics at the blog post!
