Identify this palm, anyone?

Trying to ID this specific type of palm. Particularly interested in whether it can be transplanted outdoors and in what zones it would do best in. Any help is much appreciated! I don't know a lot about tropical plants. The only one I have any experience with is the musa basjoo banana tree. Which is quite cold hardy. Thanks!!

That looks more like a spineless yucca (Yucca elephantipes) than any type of palm I am familiar with. If so, it would only be hardy in zones 9 and warmer.

Thanks, Doug. After looking at photos, I agree. It does look like a spineless yucca. Much obliged!

It is a Yucca & I am looking at one outside of my front window right now. They are subtropical plants & probably would not do well outside in the cold but you could give it a try as they are hardy. Plant against a warm facing wall. They need to be pruned but will grow back. You could plant yr prunings after dipping in some sort of hormone powder. I live in Queensland Australia so they grow well here.

I have a huge one in my backyard that I hate. It survives fine, but I live in North Florida.
