Rainbow File Box

A group of friends and I do this thing a few times a year where we each go out a-thrifting and find some fun makeover potential for under $10. We then mail these items to each other to see what magic everyone can weave. I received a $2 metal file box with a dated faux wood appearance. It wasn't awful, but... rainbows are always better.
This colorful organizer now lives in my daughter's art center to help her organize the many (many!) bits of artwork-in-progress.
This was what I received in the mail. I mean, it's not awful, but the whole point of the game is to make the thing over so... I did!

    Nice!

Unfortunately I like the original version more than the improved one. Besides, glue will surely damage the natural color and testure of the box. Anyway, it's nice idea...

@Lazuardi Insani I wish everyone's comments were so thoughtful and courteous!! So many folks have lost their ability to give constructive criticism. :) Thank you! I actually didn't mind the original one either, but the challenge for us was to take something another blogger sent us and to repurpose/ reimagine so I kinda had to change it a bit. Thanks again!
