I made this on the fly and didn't even think of taking photos along the way but it's very self explanatory. We live in Arizona which can get extremely hot in the summer and I wanted to offer a water station for the neighborhood dogs. So by using a garden flag stand that I already had, a plain wooden sign, a bag holder and a wooden crate I created a cute and useful water station.

Here is the completed project all set up in front of my house. You can see the sign hanging on the flag stand. The sign says "WATER FOR YOUR DOG". I painted the words with white acrylic paint that i had on hand and then sealed it with several coats of high gloss Mod Podge. The bag holder is hanging on the right and I made it from dog print flannel fabric that I already had on hand. I added the words, "Poo Bags" with a black sharpie and filled the bag with plastic grocery bags.

The crate is to keep the water shaded. I lightly sanded the inside of the crate and then I painted paw prints and the words "WATER STATION" on each side of the crate. I also painted "WATER FOR YOUR DOG" on the top of the crate. I sealed the crate with 1 coat of Mod Podge. I set up everything outside and added a bowl of cold water. I already had the water bowl but plan on replacing it with a larger bowl sometime in the future.

I would also like to replace the crate with something that looks nicer but until I can come up with a better idea, the crate will provide much needed shade to keep the water cool.
