A before and after master bedroom makeover
Before
After

Before the holidays, my brother and sister-in-law asked me if I could help them transform their bland room into a serene master bedroom retreat. They were tired of looking at beige walls and brown drapes, it was time for change. And with another baby on the way (and probably a number of sleepless nights ahead of them), they require a room with both a relaxing and soothing atmosphere.
It all began with choosing a PARA Paint colour. We decided to go with a sophisticated hue, Silver Touch (P5247-51, PARA Paints). This is a dark plum colour with a strong grey undertone. I’m seriously obsessed with it! This is definitely the ideal bedroom colour. It adds a punch of drama, it injects romance and it’s one hell of a classy colour (my opinion anyway!).

Love this room. Our bedroom is that colour, perhaps a touch darker, and all white everything else. It's been almost five years and I still sometimes just stand in the doorway and gaze around which doesn't take long, it's a small room, but it brings me peace.

Love the wall color!! 😊That color (and similar shades) look surpringly good with chocolate brown and make a very sophisticated change from aqua. I have always loved aquas yet it has become much too popular and I'm seeing it everywhere. When that happens, I pack away my aqua decor items and go off on a hunt for an accent color different than everyone else!
