Master Bedroom Update

I finally said goodbye to my white duvet. I love the way duvets look, but I have had horrible luck keeping them clean and unwrinkled. I decided on a black coverlet for easy maintenance and a white faux fur blanket throw to lighten it up. Now, my bedroom looks fresh and clean all the time.
The nightstands and dressers are from Ikea and were given a custom look with overlays painted black.

This bedroom was remodeled on a budget! Sources are on the blog!
The dresser was given an update with overlays and hardware from Lowe's painted gold.

What a difference the black cover made. I have white so I like it but I agree, it's getting a bit yellow around the edges from washing. The black looks so classy.

    • @Lori ....:) youre so welcome. I use either / or of those , because if you have a gas dryer, it contributes to the graying/ yellowing of whites...so I use the AIR FLUFF selection on my dryer, and hang up my duvet covers while still damp. :)

@ @Jennifer @ Classic Style Home could you just fold your white duvet at the end of the bed for display (folded into three's) with the black coverlet underneath and then move the white duvet to the end of the bed for sleeping? Then you still have the white showing at the end of your bed for display and you will only be using the black coverlet for practicality sakes. Does that make sense?
