A Simple Fix for Faded Orchids

By this time of year, those gorgeous orchids I bought in January are starting to look a bit ragged. But I didn't want to change them out quite yet. I found a simple solution....
This urn is filled with orchids every January - it adds so much colour and life to the winter decor.
But by March, most of the flowers are done and it will be months before new flower stalks appear (if ever).
A quick trip to the dollar store and I found my inspiration. Just add some faux orchids to each pot to extend the "blooming" season.
Replace the dried out moss with some fresh green and you've got instant life.
Hard to tell the difference between the fake and real orchids. Now my urn will look wonderful for a few more weeks until it's time to replace it with a spring arrangement.

That's not the point... Put a whole pot from the dollar store, why to get excited that you have a new baby bloom? That you were showen secrets of nature...
    • Ora...my plan is to leave them here for a few weeks and then move them into their summer spot. I'll be happy to see the baby growth then!!
