Eglehawk on Mar 16, 2015Try putting peppermint oil on a cotton ball and place them on posts near your plants . I think it's probably squash bugs and this is supposed to make them stay away. I will b trying it myself this year.Helpful Reply

Juliana Taper on Mar 16, 2015Thanks for the advice, but these are definitely stink bugs. They are everywhere here in Pennsylvania. They suck the liquid out of veggies and were all over the tomatoes.Helpful Reply

Me on Mar 17, 2015We have had plenty of stinkbugs here in VA too. Some years worse than others. Let's hope that this past COLD winter killed a lot of them. Try adding hot sauce and peppermint oil to the soapy spray. Use it every other day in needed. Good luck!Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Mar 17, 2015Stinkbugs are difficult to control. The generally recommended insecticides are pyrethroids like Warrior II, Hero EC, Tombstone and Mustang MAX. Insecticidal soap is effective against young stink bugs only.Helpful Reply
