Girl Bedroom With Cottage Charm

TIDBITS
by TIDBITS
We took what was intended to be a formal living room, and turned it into a sweet little cottage bedroom for our 6 year old. It is full of vintage finds, childhood hand-me-downs, and handmade treasures. Such a small space, but bursting with character!
This was the before picture of the small room. The challenges with turning a formal living room into a bedroom are: 1) Privacy 2)No Closet and 3)Lack of Storage.
But, with a little creativity - we addressed each of those issues and this sweet little bedroom is among my favorites in the house.
There are so many details involved in this room, that I talk about on my blog, TIDBITS. Curious about the window shutters? Where did we get that dresser? How did we find room to store all her stuff?
Come see the close-ups at http://www.tidbits-cami.com/2012/12/a-little-big-girl-bedroom.html

I love the room, you did a great job. I really love the framed pink baby things at the head of the bed. What a great idea! You are very talented.

What a lucky girl! Very charming room and yes, I noticed the pencil sharpener off the bat! We have one that my FIL always used and now it belongs in our house.
