After a year of searching for a dining table the fit our needs, we decided to DIY one! I built the base out of pipes from the hardware store, and the top is from Ikea.
The hardest part of this project was the initial planning. I knew what measurements I needed the final table to be, so armed with that and I sketch I headed to the hardware store to pick out all my pieces.
The base is a bit like a puzzle, the pieces all screw together but need to be assembled in a certain order. My husband pitched in to make sure they were all screwed as tight as possible. Once it was all put together I spray painted it so that the color would be more uniform.
After screwing the tabletop on, the project was complete. Now we have a custom dining table that fits into our small space but can seat up to 6 people! To save you some time, I've listed a complete parts list and step by step instructions.

Hi COOL table! Did you do anything to the “feet “ to protect the floor?
