We live in a mobile home with front porch facing west. I am looking for suggestions for seasonal, movable shade for summer only. I have used room divider screens but need more options to consider. Ideas please. Thanks

Home Depot sells shade canopies , and you can put netting like they use in plant nursery's and pull back when the sun is not on your porch.

Sam's, Home Depot and Lowe's, as well as many on the internet carry solar shades, designed to reduce heat and offer filtered light. They are outdoor shades, and this may be what you're looking for.

I have those solar shades on my west facing windows. They can be rolled up and down and do block the heat well and filter light. The only problem I have had with them is that they have plastic fittings and the sun can crack those after awhile.

How about the bamboo roll up shades. they block the harsh sun but let the breeze in.

All of the ideas listed above are great. you could also do some upcycling and use a sheet. I know that sounds silly, but you could paint it or decorate it with a pretty design and then you could even turn it into a roman shade with strings on the sides or something and it would be super cheap to make.

Problem with all advice is that I have aluminum porch cover and not enough vertical posts to support roll up blinds etc. probably should just continue to use the screens but sure hate to loose the view in the morning hours. Have to anchor the screens to the porch rail and it's a pain to do and undo them with the plastic ties. Thanks to all of you that have sent me tips.

I hung up white shower curtains with shower hangers on brass rods. I also used brass hooks to hold the rods. When the sun wasn't shining we pulled them back with green ties. Made it look like a room

You can use command hooks that can easily stick on and be pulled off with no damage.

Sorry, I used the cloth material curtains, not plastic. I got them at Walmart
