I need a professional, reputable landscape architect to design a somewhat short walkway through a wooded area.

Any suggestions?

You could try Valley Crest, they specialize in that sort of thing.

Thanks for the answers, but I'm still hoping for more ideas.

Well you just do a search for landscaping contractors that are also members doin' biz in your neck of the woods and you'll see a slew of names. I think all the great contractors wind up in Georgia from the list of contributions...It might be time to visit my folks in Tucker! Good Luck! JL

Thanks for the answers, but I'm still hoping for more ideas. I'm looking for a personal recommendation, with some photos. If you visit folks in Tucker, be sure to bring some rain! We're still parched!

I don't have any photos but I have been on several big jobs with Valley Crest that is why I suggested them. I know they specialize in your issue and they do good work as well as having a good reputation. However as JL mentioned there are many others here I am just not familiar with them. I am familiar with Valley Crest thus the recommendation.

Patti, another idea would be to check out the Atlanta Home Show this weekend (9.23 - 9.25) at Cobb Galleria. You can check out exhibitors list online first and see if any have websites. Also you can see their exhibits at the show, ask questions, learn about potential products and maintenance. You can get a free ticket here on Hometalk. Just a thought.

Another landscape architect to consider is Fockele Garden Company (Mark Fockele)

Mark is not an architect, but his and Julie's designs are gifted and award winning beautiful.

This is one of my favorites of his work-

Rpm landscaping and pavers will be at the Homeshow this weekend. We have done several lighting jobs for them and we have always been impresses with their hardscapes.
