A Mantel Quick Change

It's the time of year to walk out the winter wearies and spring into Spring. I did a little "house shopping" and gave my home some quick, easy changes to brighten things up.
I was never really satisfied with this previous look on the mantel. Since Spring was nearly here, I went house shopping for some brighter items. First, I found a fresh, green fabric remnant to ground the grouping. Then of course, some Easter items, eggs and silk blooms.
I saw the hand-blown glass globes at a local thrift store and HAD.TO.HAVE.THEM. Among other places, they fit perfectly in these three big ceramic vases.
Books and live plants are great pieces to use, and the plant here even has a springy green pot. I brought in two of the ceramics with pretty colored glass globes, and a pair of brass birds & little nest, and there you have it. You'll find this and more fun on the blog! HAPPY SPRING.
