I am new at this and have done a lot of crafts, were do I go to find pallets? Also I have some boulders different sizes while landscaping, any one knows who would want them, where should I let others know about them? Thanks Pep

Try freecycle.org and see if there is a group in your area. People post items they no longer need/want (from scrap metal to furniture) or items they are looking for. It's a way to keep items from ending up in landfills.. You should be able to get rid of your boulders this way, and you can post that you are looking for pallets. Also check local businesses, especially flooring stores for their unused and unwanted pallets. If you just spread the word, you should find lots.

I would go to some local industrial parks and drive around back of the buildings. Ask first if they are going to re-use them. You'd be surprised - there are a lot of company that throw them out. Be careful of the chemicals stored on top of the pallets - AVOID THEM!

Some trucking cos. use pallets for incoming but they don't reuse them. There's a co. near my home, they leave their old pallets in a pile near the street, with a sign that reads "Free Help Yourself" . They don't want to bother trying to sell them, but don't want them hanging around.

Newspaper and printing companies are another good source.

I'd love your boulders, but you are probably no where near Deyroit Metro Airport!!

I have gone to Walmart in the past and they gave them to me FREE!
