Question

How can I display old keys on the wall? Maybe someone can tell me, that thinks out of the box?

There are any number of ways. You could hang them from curtain rods, by themselves or over the drapes. You could frame them like a painting. You could make a 'garland' out of ribbon or fabric and keys. You could hang them from your chandelier or ceiling light (above head height). You could hang a table runner on the wall and suspend the keys in front of it.

Take old silk ties and cut them down into thin strips - tie knots into them to hold the keys - I have old keys at my front door walls - I used the cup hooks to help display them - the gold ones worlds for me - but you may be different

I have used them as blind pulls and, as Darla noted, over drapes (use fishing line to suspend). Or depending on the key shapes, display in a shadow box with a 'memento' theme . . . old deed/building plans, house-warming invites/congrat cards, photos of moving day . . . or memories of old family home(s).

Look on Pinterest. In the search box type 'things to do with old keys' and variations of that. I make jewellery and use them as pendants, adding broken brooches, diamantes etc. etc. I also going them up and use them as key rings!  Good luck, hope you find something interesting to do with them. Xx

I did old keys and salt spoons in a shadow box with black velvet. Use a lightweight fishing line to attach them to the back of the box.
