Donna, These people are from your area - http://www.gsr-inspection.com/ Here is a DIY testing kit you can purchase from Amazon as well, I guess they have a mailing list and you can send your sample off to the place closest to your area - http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Lab-AS108-Asbestos-Yourself-Test/dp/B000DZDSII
