Look at this face... it's a happy face. Recently, we had the opportunity to save some vintage barn board. We learned this crumbling old farm house was going to be burned down, it obviously wasn't safe anymore, and really couldn't be used for much. So, we sprang into action, crowbars in hand, so we could save those lovely, chippy boards.

DJ on Apr 26, 2015This is absolutely gorgeous! I have a place I can get some of this old wood but wondered about mold and termite issues. I so want to put some in my house! What did you do about the mold on the backside of the wood? And the 'funky' smell that comes with the really old wood? Have been trying to come up with ideas to just reuse it outside, but would love to use it like you did.
